Bat on Route Bus App

ASV offers BatOnRoute, a mobile app that provides useful and real-time information of the school bus routes.  After the annual maintenance done by our tech partner, the app will be operative beginning on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Similar to when Bat on Route was originally launched, the first week will be an adaptation period.  This web page has basic information on its use and links to the setting up process and the regular use.

Thank you for all of your cooperation.

Reminders on COVID Security Measures

ASV School buses are considered a public transportation means. Consequently, students and staff members using it must follow the following COVID-19 protection measures:
  • Mask use: Required for staff members and Grades 1-12 students and highly recommended for PK1-Kinder children
  • Hand sanitizer: Available on all buses and required when accessing the vehicle.

ASV PE and ASV+ Uniforms

While completing the enrollment process, new families receive information about the official ASV Physical Education (PE) uniform.  In case you do not have the PE uniform yet for your child, we remind you that all of the athletic attire is available for online purchase through our supplier Svelto.

The attached documents describe the uniform, the sizes available and how to order it. :

ASV+ First Days

This week all our students who are registered in ASV+ activities have enjoyed their first sessions. Preschool students started Multisport practicing music and movement, gross motor circuits, and big group games. Elementary students started with the Team Sports, Creative Arts, and STEAM activities. Finally, Middle School and High School students started practicing Dance, STEAM and the ASV teams started training sessions.

During the first sessions, students get to know their teammates, their coach and work on the expectations for each activity.  Ms. Scarlett Casas, the ASV+ Director is very happy about the start of the school year: “Our students have kicked off the year full of enthusiasm and lots of energy. We are trying to make sure that all of them are in the activity they really want to do, but some activities are already full. It is very important to plan ahead in order for us to be able to have available placements for every child.”

This year ASV+ is also pleased to welcome Mr. Javier Estellés as  Assistant Coordinator who is working hand in hand with Ms. Casas and the Athletic Department to make the program grow not only in quantity but in quality.

Middle School and High School

Fall 2022 MAP Testing

Next week we will begin our Fall 2022 Measures of Academic Progress MAP testing for all students in Grades 6-10.  Students will take a math test and a reading test on separate days within the next two weeks.  Each test is approximately an hour long, but the actual length varies for each student.

We would like you to know a few important things about this test:
  • Every year this test is administered twice annually to all ASV Grades 6-10 students.
  • Students do not need to prepare for it
  • Students can take all the time they need, and often the longer they take, the better they do (taking time on each question contributes to accuracy!)
  • Students should do their best as this is an important measurement of growth and learning for them and the school that is used to inform our instruction, interventions and programs
The school uses this information in a variety of ways, including to track each students’ growth and make decisions to meet each child’s needs.  The most important thing you can do is to ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep before the test and has a good breakfast before school so they can do their best on the assessment.

Below are the dates and times for each grade level’s test. They will be administered during  the first and second periods of the day, when students are fresh and able to focus.  You will receive the results of this MAP assessment with the Semester Report Cards.  For more information, please refer to the parent toolkit which is available online.

Coming Prepared

Just a friendly reminder to our student-athletes that it is a requirement to come to practice with a water bottle and training bib/knee pads, sneakers/cleats, sports wear.

Being part of a team means each student-athlete is responsible not only for  herself/himself, but also for the other team members:  Therefore, we ask all our Middle School and High School student-athletes to support one another and to come to the training sessions well-prepared.

Office and Services

Business Office Reminders

In the middle of this week, we invoiced the receipt for the month of September 2022. This date is exceptional and is due to the adjustments that occur at the beginning of the course. Starting in October 2022, billing will take place the first week of each month.

We remind you that the means of payment accepted by the school are direct debit and payment by credit/debit card (with additional costs in the latter case). The school considers that the most convenient and cost-free method is direct debit. If you would like to use the direct debit payment method, you may download and fill out a form that we provide at this link:
You can send it by signed email to the address facturacionasv@asvalencia.org or deliver it on paper to the school office.

As we have been doing in the last communications, we appreciate that you check the billing policy of the school where you will find more information about fees, receipts, collections and management, and administration expenses.

In relation to the 2022-2023 continuity insurance, we attach a link to a letter with a summary of the coverage update.
