ASV Foundation Halloween Party


Ticket sale will start on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the ASV Foundation office (which is placed at the ASV offices in our campus) from 9:00 to 18:00 h. An additional sale point will be placed in the school entrance from 16:00 to 17:00 h. coinciding with the end of the school day. Remember we have limited capacity and we will accept only payments in cash.  
 

ASV Global Exchange Programs

 
Thank you to all of the sixth through tenth grade students who submitted applications for one of the ASV Global Exchange Programs to the Community School of Naples and Foxborough Regional Charter School. We look forward to reviewing the applications and essays.  ASV will inform all applicants of the school’s decision by October 30, 2015.   We greatly appreciate all of your efforts, hard work and dedication!

ASV+ Outfits

 
Throughout October 2015, registered ASV+ students in any sport activity are receiving the starting pack included in their 2015-2016  enrollment fee. This year 360 students from PK2 to Grade 9 are enjoying  this extracurricular program.

Any ASV student, regardless if he or she is enrolled in the ASV+ program, can purchase these outfits. Please take a moment to look at them at the following link.

Parents Association Meeting

 
Families of ASV students are invited to attend  the Parents Association Meeting we will held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 (18:30 h, second call; 18:00 h., first call). The agenda is:

Parent Technology Workshop. Materials


Thank you to the parents able to attend the technology workshop held on Tuesday and Wednesday. We hope you found the information useful. You can review the presentation or download it by using this link to Google Drive. In addition to this, our IT coordinator, Mr. Samuel Landete, is available for technical support on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from  15:50 a 16:30 h. You can contact him by phone or schedule a visit (please use Google Calendar or send your request to Ms. Susan Haynes).

Soccer Match with Los Olivos


ASV has been invited to play a soccer match against Los Olivos English School next Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Matches begin at 11.45 at the Polideportivo of Godella and students will return to school at 15.00 for afternoon lessons. Meet the students taking part and read more about other sport events.

Students Prepare for VALMUN 2015


VALMUN 2015 preparation has begun at ASV. Our student delegates are participating in several preparatory meetings each week with the conference co-coordinators, Mr. Boyer and Mr. Johnson. Learn more about the upcoming edition of our Model United Nations conference.
 

University Orientation for Grade 12


12th graders attended an informative meeting with representatives of Hult University, a business school based in San Francisco (United States) and London (UK). Watch some pictures on our website.
 

Meeting International Universities in Korea


High School Guidance Counselor, Ms. Veronica Cinosi, was invited to travel to South Korea last week and participated in a reverse college fair. She also visited an ASV graduate in KAIST University!

MAP testing continues this week. This is the schedule for High School groups:

Parent Technology Workshop


Parent Technology Workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 20 (15:30 to 16:15) and Thursday, October 22 (9:30 to 10:15) to help parents better understand our technology platforms used at ASV. The workshop is being offered twice to accommodate parent schedules and it will take place at the Theater and the High School Computer Lab (Room 50).

Preschool and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)


As part of our school focus area to promote, teach, and recognize positive student behaviors this year, we will begin implementing the “ASV Ticket” system next week in grades 1-6. Students “caught” demonstrating a respectful, prepared, engaged, or responsible behavior, will earn some incentives. Read more about the proceeding on our website.

Reading Volunteers Meeting


Parents who registered to take part in our Reading Program are called for a meeting on Wednesday October 21, at 15:30 the Conference room 1. We will provide more details such as the class assigned and the tentative schedule for them.
