ASV Ticket Program
As noted in last week’s edition, the ASV Ticket system was implemented for the first time at the elementary school. This program is part of our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) philosophy which is one of ASVs four focus areas as a school this year. This past week, 71 tickets were awarded to students in grades 1-3 alone. ASV Tickets can be earned by students for demonstrating respectful, responsible, prepared, or engaged behaviors. Tickets are drawn weekly. Students who have a ticket drawn can earn incentives, such as ASV bracelets, dog tags, special lunches, etc.

Monitoring Student Achievements with PowerSchool
As you are aware, PowerSchool provides parents the ability to monitor the academic achievement and growth of their child on a consistent basis. Due to this enhanced level of access, we will not be mailing home paper copy versions of progress reports this year. However, at this point in the trimester, we recommend that parents review PowerSchool, much as you would a traditional progress report. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher. The first trimester will end on December 1, 2015.
