ASV Foundation Halloween Party
The ASV Foundation prepares a Halloween Party to raise funds for its activities, including the promotion of multicultural and multilingual education in the Valencian community. The event will take on Friday, October 30, 2015, from 18:00 h to 22:00 h. at the ASV campus. For just a fee entrance of 5 euros, everyone is invited to explore the haunted house, and have fun with other activities such as the costume contest, the bake sale, varied games, and the magician. Children under 18 must be accompanied. We would like to remind that we have limited capacity.

Team Building Activities for 11th Grade in Puçol
On October 8th, CAS Coordinators, Ms. Jackie Paarhuis and Mr. Boyer, along with the Grade 11 advisors (Ms. Julie Murphy and Ms. Lucía Gómez), took the 11th grade students on an all day retreat to the beach in Puçol. The purpose of the day was to enhance teamwork skills amongst the students as they embark on their final 2 years in High School and ASV. They participated in a number of 'challenges' as well as spent time cleaning the beach; a small gesture of goodwill towards the local community.

Progress Reports in Grades 7-11
Wednesday, October 14th is the midpoint of the First Trimester for grades 7 to 11. This is a good time to check Powerschool to see your child’s progress in each subject. You may address any related doubts or clarification to the teacher of that subject, the advisor, the department coordinator or directly to the Principal, Dr. Kristy Beam.

Parent Technology Workshop
Parent Technology Workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14 from 15:15-16:15 to help parents better understand our technology platforms used at ASV. The workshop is being offered twice to accommodate parent schedules. If parents have a personal computer, it is recommended to bring that, though school computers will be available. Parents also need to bring their student's password as those won't be available at the sessions.

PSAT Test
Students in Grades 10 and 11 will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 14. This is a practice for the SAT, a university entrance exam for universities in the United States.

Hult Business School will visit students in grade 12 during Advisory on Thursday, October 15.

Dental Health Program. Participation Form
We are completing the list of Kinder and Elementary students that wish to participate in the Dental Health Program offered by the Puçol Health Center. This program includes a fluoride rinse for students in Grades 1 to 6 and a dental check-up only for Kinder and Grade 6.
