ASV Foundation Halloween Party. Thanks to all of the Volunteers!
On behalf of the ASV Foundation, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the student, parent and staff volunteers who made Halloween 2015 such an amazing success. Their dedication, hard work and a lot of hours preparing for Halloween is greatly appreciated.
We hope everyone had a wonderful time experiencing the Haunted Houses, games, magic show, arts and crafts, refreshments, and most importantly one another’s company. Coming together as a school community is what makes ASV so special, and we hope you enjoyed Halloween 2015 as much as our volunteers enjoyed preparing it for all of you.
Thanks again to all of the ASV Foundation volunteers and to all of those who supported this event. It is this level of teamwork that creates a great school and the ASV Difference.

High School Service Activities
At ASV we believe community service is central to our mission. Throughout the school year there are a number of opportunities for students to participate in community service activities. Some of these opportunities involve whole school action, such as our festive food drives for local organizations, others are grade specific or outside the school day and involve smaller groups of students. Find on this web report the service opportunities for High School students during this school year.

The new SAT® is coming in March 2016
The College Board, the educational organization running the SAT test, recently announced a redesign of this university entrance exam. According to our High School counselor Ms. Verónica Cinosi, the new SAT "it’s a fair and straightforward test that looks a lot like what students learn in class and let them show off the skills and knowledge that colleges want most."
The new test features are:
• No guessing penalty, encouraging you to try your best on every question
• Vocabulary words actually used in college, career, and life
• An optional essay
These changes will be effective as of March 2016. Interested students may contact Ms. Verónica or download this document.

Transportation Policy and Bus Dismissal Procedures
We would like to make a short reminder of our buses dismissal procedures:
- Preschool students get in their buses at 16:20.
- Elementary students go at 16:30.
- High School students between 16:30 – 16:35.
- Main gate closes at 16:37.
- All buses must have left before 16:40 so as to meet their schedules.
For security reasons, it is not allowed to walk through the parking lot once the buses start leaving, and buses can only be accessed through the main gate. This means that any students arriving late to their buses will have to stay in campus until other buses have left (students up to grade 4) or will not be allowed to take their bus (grades 5 to 12). Please read the complete set of instructions on this post.
