ASV Foundation BBQ: Call for Volunteers

The ASV Foundation is preparing the third edition of the BBQ Party, a great community event planned for Friday, May 20, 2016. The event is open to everyone within the local community who wishes to attend and enjoy a genuine American barbecue with many complementary activities included.
As you may know, funds raised with the tickets sale and other actions will support the ASV Foundation goals. By collaborating as volunteers, community members contribute to optimize the ASV Foundation’s resources. If you ever attended this event or the Halloween Party, you know that many people is needed to offer the best experience to our visitors. So, we encourage all of the ASV community members to volunteer by attending a first informative meeting on Tuesday, March 20, at 15:30 h. (ASV Conference Room 1).
We need a lot of helping hands to prepare this extraordinary event. Thank you in advance!

The Biggest Arts Day

Students in 7th through to 12th Grade had a break on their normal schedule and spent an extended period of time in an arts based workshop from a varied schedule which included vocal and instrumental music, hip hop, sculpture, photo-collage, t-shirt design, or creative writing, among other activities. The number of workshops (22) and the special performances and challenges made this Arts Day the biggest ever planned at ASV. Find some notes and a picture gallery on our website.

Several classes had field trips this week. 9th grade visited the Valencia Museum of History, having an overview of the city from its foundation in the year 138 b.C. Mr. Mervin Eyler headed the IB Economics group in 11th grade at the stock market in Valencia. Students received a class on what the stock market is and how it functions.
