Exchange with Community School of Naples. Road Trip Notes

This week our students in Naples combined regular classes with extracurricular activities such as a visit to Florida Gulf Coast University, and a field trip to the Everglades. At FGCU, they were guided on a tour by a student of the university who answered questions or doubts. On Monday, they had a day off as it was Martin Luther King Day, a federal holiday.

“We're all having an amazing time, everyone here is so nice, and we're making so many strong friendships”, told Teresa García (9th grade) via email. Her schoolmate Ángela Hernández (7th grade) described the exchange as “a great opportunity to know how the life of American people is like” and “an experience we will never forget”. The group flies back on Saturday, January 22.

Local Holiday on January 22

We would like to remind that on Friday, January 22, 2016 the school is closed due to a local holiday in Valencia, San Vicente Mártir. We hope you enjoy this longer weekend!

Parking Before and After School

Please assist in our efforts to promote the safety of our students by adopting safe parking and driving practices during arrival and dismissal periods. Specifically, it is important that vehicles are not parked on the sidewalks around the school. This ensures families have a safe path to walk along during this busy time of the day. As always, it is advisable to drive cautiously when near the school. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your contributions to ensuring the safety of our students.

Group 4 Project Lab Day

11th graders developed the Group 4 Project lab tests today. This hands-on activity encourages them to develop researches based on a given topic, asking themselves real questions and using the scientific method to solve them. With the data collected today, each team will prepare one presentation for a final meeting at the ASV theater.
