We did self-introductions.

Masanori taught ways of translation.
Masanori translated Yoshio's sentence about Hachioji into Japanese.
"There is a famous temple in Hachioji. It's called the "Shinshouin." This temple was established by the daughter of Takeda Shingen, who was a famous daimyo in feudal Japan.

Doug talked about the presidential election in the United States.
We also learned about our birthday word! (Words which came into usage the year we were born.)
And we studied expressions and proverbs.
