Dr. Subrata Chakrabarti renewed as Chair/Chief of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine


 



We are pleased to announce that Dr. Subrata Chakrabarti has been renewed as Chair/Chief of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, and its teaching hospitals, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Health Care London effective October 1, 2016 to August 31, 2021.

Recognized for his success, Dr. Chakrabarti was the recipient of the Premier’s Excellence in Research Award in 2003, and the Dean’s Award of Excellence in Research in 2005. He was awarded a Faculty Scholar Award from Western University in 2008.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Chakrabarti on his renewal.

Ronald McDonald House

On Tuesday, December 6th, pathologists, staff and residents from the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine went to Ronald McDonald House to prepare dinner for the families in residence at the house.  Read more

PaLM socks it to winter

Pathology and Laboratory Medicine’s sock it to winter, sock drive was a great success. We collected over two Christmas sacks of socks for the less fortunate in our community. The Lambeth Lions will be distributing the socks to the Salvation Army during the holiday period. Thank you to everyone who donated.  Read more

Dr. M.E. Kirk Award

Congratulations to Dr. Aaron Haig, 2016 recipient of the Dr. M.E. Kirk Teaching Award. This annual teaching award is presented by the residents in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to the pathologist who best exemplifies the qualities of dedication, enthusiasm, excellence, availability, approachability, knowledge, and mentorship with respect to resident education.  Read more
