Welcome Dr. McCord

Pathology and Laboratory Medicine welcomes Dr. Christina McCord!

Dr. Subrata Chakrabarti and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine extend a warm welcome to Dr. Christina McCord, who has been appointed to our department effective July 1, 2015 as an oral pathologist and full-time assistant professor.

Dr. McCord is an alumna of Western University’s undergraduate dental program.  She has known Drs. Daley and Darling for close to ten years, and her decision to pursue a career in oral pathology was largely inspired by their mentorship and support.

Dr. McCord is a board certified dental specialist in both oral pathology and oral medicine, and received her training as well as a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto. She comes to us from the Department of Dentistry at the University of Toronto where she was an assistant professor.  She also held a clinical appointment in the Department of Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital where she taught general practice dental and oral pathology residents while delivering patient care.

In support of the Canadian oral pathology and oral medicine community, Dr. McCord recently accepted a position on the board of the Canadian Dental Specialties Association.

We are delighted that Dr. McCord has joined our department.  Welcome back to London Christina!  Read More.

Dr. Cady Pocrnich is Back

A huge welcome back to Canada and our Department to Dr. Cady Pocrnich who began training in our Area of Focused Competence Program in Cytopathology in July 2015. Dr. Pocrnich graduated from our Anatomical Pathology program in 2014 and completed a year-long surgical pathology fellowship at MD Anderson  in Houston, Texas, from 2014-15.  The team is looking forward to training our second candidate in the program and learning about some of the advanced diagnostic skills which Dr. Pocrnich acquired in the sunny south!

Welcome Dr. Allison Osmond

Welcome back to Dr. Allison Osmond who recently completed the Anatomical Pathology residency program and passed her Royal College exams. Allison has been accepted to the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine fellowship program for a one-year clinical fellowship in surgical pathology (gastrointestinal and skin pathology) effective July 1, 2015.
