Fluvial Erosion Hazard Mitigation Program
Phase 3 of the Indiana Silver Jackets, Fluvial Erosion Hazard (FEH) Mitigation Program is underway.  In this phase, the FEH team will focus on how to best mitigate the fluvial erosion hazard in areas where avoidance is not an option, and evaluate best methods for protecting structures and infrastructure, while striving to minimize impacts on the stream system.  Learn more about the FEH program here.
Education Outreach by School of Science Students
Windows on Science (WOS) is a freshmen science course in which science majors learn more about potential career paths in science, develop the skills and habits of a successful science student, and participate in service in the Indianapolis community.

Students in Dr. Tamiko Porter's (pictured left) WOS course had the opportunity to deliver science programming to 3rd-6th grade students in two high-need Indianapolis Public Schools. For many WOS students, this was their first experience working with children and teaching. Read more about their outreach experiences here.
