REGIONAL BOARD APPLICATION 2023-24
Regional Elections will be held on Sunday, February 5th at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas to conclude the House of Delegates meeting. Any medical student in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico or Colorado must be able to join us in person to run for a position.
Please visit our website for the election overview, timeline and application. To access the application, you will be asked to sign in with a free google email address.
Your application and supporting documents (resume/CV and headshot) must be submitted by Sunday, January 29th. A copy will automatically be sent to the email address you provide. These materials will be reviewed by the Southwest Body of Delegates prior to elections.

SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE TICKETS

One chapter president or representative from each chapter is required to attend in person to vote at the House of Delegates meeting on Sunday and maintain active status.

We will be using the LMSA Hub app for conference attendees to view the agenda and sign up for workshops. Please look out for an email from us after ticket sales close for more information about parking, morning check-in and meals included as well as your code to access the LMSA app.

Gala tickets for the dinner are available for students and their guests! We will be celebrating graduating seniors and presenting awards, including Southwest chapter of the year and research awards. Drink tickets are included. After party to follow! Tickets are limited.

GRADUATING SENIORS
LMSA National Stoles
If you paid 4 year member dues, LMSA National owes you a stole (value: $50) even if you don’t go to conference or the policy summit. To claim your stole and arrange shipping by your May graduation date, you must email LMSA National's CDO, Santos Acosta, at membership@lmsa.net so that they can verify you are on the list. Please do so as soon as you can to ensure your stole is delivered on time. Remember that other seniors across the country will be ordering stoles as well and supply is limited.

If you are a senior medical student attending conference and gala, please sign up here by January 18th to get recognized at the graduating senior ceremony on Saturday, February 4th. You must complete the form by the deadline to ensure you will have a cord - they are free! And no, you don't have to pay member dues :)

RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM
Be sure to send in a recording of your abstract presentation (8-10 min) and a PDF of your poster by Jan 8th so that the judges can preview and judge beforehand. There will still be an in-person component where judges and students may come to ask questions. Email conference.southwest@lmsa.net with any questions.
