This month brings a lot of exciting news relevant to solar fuels!
First off, the deadline for DOE & NETL’s CO2 Utilization program is rapidly approaching, October 3rd, 2016. If you haven’t heard of this funding opportunity check out our blog post summarizing the call for applications.
And if you're feeling motivated by the DOE’s carbon utilization activities, Amanda pulled together a piece looking at a few companies from around the world who are working on direct air capture of CO2. The increased focus on utilizing rather than sequestering CO2 is exciting, and apparently SOFI isn’t alone in its excitement. This month two airlines announced partnerships to develop and use renewable jet fuel. Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic have both announced their intent to use synthetic jet fuel in their fleet.
As always, we're here if you need to talk. We know how difficult it can be to contain your excitement about all the cool things happening in solar fuels. Feel free to connect with us via Facebook, Twitter, or email on anything you find interesting.
See you in October!
