The phrases "Giving Back", "Social Capital" and "Volunteering" are common terms - and they often mean different things to different people. In this newsletter, we share with you some varied and amazing stories of people from the younger generation who are getting involved in their local community and spreading the word about issues they feel passionate about to improve and protect our environment.
Right now, the climate crisis is, rightfully so, at the top of the agenda, and I hope their stories inspire you to get involved. You can join us as a Community Champion, as a local Street Champion, or just let us know what you are interested in, and we will point you in the right direction. As a small charity we rely on your support too and we are pleased to announce that you can now join us or donate online via our website.
We were delighted with Merton Council's decision last month to declare a Climate Emergency for the borough and will be involved in their action planning in the month's ahead. If you would like to be part of that Action Group, read more here.
