Wimbledon Village Fair 2015!

Our team of volunteers enjoyed a successful day at the Wimbledon Village Fair! We engaged with over 200 people and signed up 50+ new Mega Recyclers! Free home energy monitors and food measurers were very popular, and visitors of all ages were keen to chat about how to waste less & recycle more!

Dig Merton Fundraiser

We were delighted to host our own Quiz Night, supported by Merton Vision. Quiz Master, Andy, kept the teams entertained and a wonderful meal was served to guests. Tom Walsh thanked everyone for their support and a total of just under £700 was raised for the Dig Merton project through ticket & raffle sales!

Permission Granted for Merton's First Sustainable Home!

We are delighted to share the news that the Sewell family’s plans to build Merton’s first PassivHaus have finally been approved! The building has the potential to be an exemplar for sustainable design within the borough and will be an inspiration to others.
Dean Sewell tells us that the past 18 months of negotiations and planning have been tough. But he and his family had the resolve to keep pushing to build their dream home, and in the end their commitment paid off. Dean tells us more HERE...

Style Junkies Exhibition NOW OPEN!

Proud students (and parents) attended the launch of the exhibition and the Deputy Mayor of Merton, Pauline Cowper, came along to congratulate all of those who took part. Certificates were presented to the winning entrants, who were happy to talk about their impressive creations.

Alongside the costumes were examples of reprocessed recycled materials and Sustainable Merton's Ruth tried out one of the unusual chairs on show made from recycled plastic.
