Artist Lecture and Design Workshop with Stacy Levy

A Home for the Rain

Join us for one or both of these special events, which will focus on the ways we can work together to innovate, with art and design thinking, to help preserve and sustain the water quality and environment in Lancaster City and County.

Stacy Levy collaborates with nature, within the built environment, to tell its ecological story and make it visible to the people that inhabit it.

ARTIST LECTURE - Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
Levy is currently working on a project with the City of Lancaster and will be sharing insights into her process for integrating art into sustainable rainwater management practices at a public artist lecture.

DESIGN WORKSHOP - Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The hands on workshop will explore how engineering and construction practices can be combined with art and design thinking to make a better relationship between our built environment and the rain.

Note about workshop participation: Participants should be curious about rain and sustainability. Perfect for a wide range of participants, including, but not limited to; City Planners, Developers, Landscape Architects, Public Artists, Millersville University Students, Professors and Staff. No prior engineering or artistic experience necessary to participate.
