Hoosier Hemp News

Permit Acquired, Seed To Be Shipped

After a lengthy process with the DEA, Purdue University researchers Dr. Janna Beckerman and Dr. Ron Turco received the import permit they need to have certified seed shipped into the United States. Even though the process has put them behind schedule for planting, they will sow the seed as soon as possible after its arrival.

Research, Industry Strategy Being Planned

Congratulations to our industrial hemp researchers at Purdue University for playing a part in the ranking - they are among the best agricultural minds in the world and we are lucky to be working with them! Representatives from INHIA, North American Industrial Hemp Counsil, Purdue University, Indiana Farm Bureau, and several interested companies came together last week in Indianapolis to discuss the next steps in furthering research and industry in Indiana. If you are interested in becoming involved with research projects or industry development, please contact us.
