Church Office Hours
Office Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Priority - Repair the Belltower - Goal: Raise $10,000
Trinity's building is a beacon of hope in our community. From the outside, our bell tower lets our neighbors know the church is in their presence. On the inside, our building provides safe, welcoming space for many ministries and community groups. God has given us this building and we have a responsibility to care for it so that its future presence and use will be assured. If we surpass our goal, we will begin other work in and around our building, including but not limited to replacing our over 30 years old air conditioner, funding plaster repair in the sanctuary and basement, and repairing the parking lot. Designate "capital campaign" on your envelope. If you have questions: talk to co-chairs of trustees (Amy and Steve), Finance (Victor).
125th Anniversary - is this coming Sunday, October 14th!
Trinity UMC is celebrating it's 125th Anniversary on October 14, 2018. The event is posted on our Facebook page and Postcards were sent out to church members and friends, past pastors, past groups, visitors, etc. The basic plan for this wonderful event is to have Worship at 10:00 AM with Lunch and a Program to follow.
Where's The Faith Book Club
October 11 at 7:00 pm - Breanna's Home - Book is White Fragility (Robin DiAngelo). One of the members stated that a few months ago, they read the book Blindspot, which talks all about implicit biases everyone has about all sorts of things we experience every day (from whether we prefer bugs or flowers to whether we prefer black or white people). That book was written by the researchers who created the IAT (Implicit Association Test), which is something available online at no cost. They thought it might be an interesting thing to pass along to the club, leading up to the discussion about White Fragility. They took several of the tests (you choose which category you want to test your own bias for) and found the result interesting. Here's the link, in case you'd like to check it out: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html Try it on a laptop or desktop computer.

Our Annual Charge Conference will be November 29th at 6:30 pm at Asbury UMC (6101 University Avenue). This is an important moment in the life of our church as we connect with other churches in our district and approve official paperwork. There may be snacks!
