Weekly Update
Everyone have a great Holiday Weekend! If you're out and about, remember to take your Bible and refresh body AND soul while you're enjoying some down time.

SUNDAY
: Sometimes we suffer and we can't see the silver lining. Sometimes it seems like God sent us the short end of life's stick. How does a believer respond? Psalm 44 will show us how to pray when God's ways in our life don't make sense.

Here's a YouTube of our previous service. We looked at Psalm 27 and heard how God eagerly God hears and answers our prayers.
Are you or is someone you know struggling financially? Northwest Connect can provide a monthly cart of food like this to a family of five. You can't see it well, but there are canned goods, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, etc. Any sized household is welcome to come get free food. A school dad runs the northeast branch and encourages anyone struggling to come by. As of now the bank has surplus food and doesn't turn anyone away. You can also bring specific questions to Pastor West.

TIMBER TOSS - CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT AT CHURCH
On Saturday, September 10 at 11am we will be hosting a corn hole tournament. Registration for the event is $50 per team. Included in the cost is a lunch and a special Timber Toss koozy. Only the first 25 teams will receive a koozy so make sure you sign up early!
The last day to register is September 2. If you have any questions you can reach out to Rachel Taasaas or Erika Rosenbaum. Please let Rachel or Erika know if you have a corn hole set that we could borrow for the event.
If you do not want to participate in the tournament you can still come and watch! We will have lunches available for purchase.
All of the money raised will be used to help with purchasing a new playground.

WHITWORTH MINISTRY FAIR
Is anyone will to sit with Pastor West at a booth for a few hours, starting at 10am next Friday, Sept. 9? We are invited to introduce ourselves to students at the Whitworth ministry fair.

DO YOU HAVE A SPARE CHARCOAL GRILL....
that you are willing to loan or donate to the church for the cookout on 9/11? One of our two grills lost a leg and was put out of its misery.

9/11 CHURCH COOKOUT/PUTLUCK PLANS
As has been custom in the past, please bring your own meat, which our master chefs will grill, and a side dish to share. We will need impromptu help setting up and putting away the tables and chairs.

YOUTH GROUP OUTING OCTOBER 15
