GREAT OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY 8/20
From Pastor Schultz: "On Saturday, August 20th, we will be participating in a community service project called "Day of Hope."  The event is a community BBQ that will provide free food, live music, much needed groceries, school supplies, kids shoes, and Christian love to 2000 families in our community.   The event will be held at Sower Christian Bookstore (1234 W Appleway Dr. in CDA).  I want to encourage all of us to volunteer to help and make a difference in our community as representatives of the Vine.  The attached flier has a QR code that will take you directly to the volunteer page where you can see descriptions under each position where you can serve.  The event goes from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  However, volunteer positions are approximately 2 hour shifts.  Wear your Vine T-shirt.  If you don't have one, let me know and I'll give you a free one.  I hope we can get a lot of us to participate.  It's a great way for us to do what we do well at the Vine -- serve our community for Jesus.  Thank you."
PRAYER CONCERNS:
  • Continue to pray for our home-bound members: Maria Baerman, Carol Taylor, Carole Boyette, Christine Glardon, Jean Johnson, Beverly Van Epps, Louise Scherschel, Steve Anson.
