Weekly Update
NEW AND LAST MINUTE!! THIS THURSDAY! At 6pm a representative from Christian Life Resources will be at church telling us about their new home for mothers in Milwaukee. This is a great opportunity to be pro-life in the fullest sense, not only opposing abortion, but seeking to help babies born into less-than-ideal situations. I apologize for omitting this last week.

THIS SUNDAY: Life passes away so quickly and is filled with so many troubles. When you feel like you've had enough, how does God teach you to pray? Maybe you're feeling good this weekend, but come listen to this message to prepare for the inevitable times life will get you down in the future, or to give you more perspective on the past.

We posted our school's chapel service on YouTube this week. The message is usually applicable to adults.

Here's a YouTube of our previous service. We looked at Psalm 44, when God doesn't seem to be keeping his promises. I was worried it was a little on the boring side, but several people told me it touched them and was relevant.

Here's last week's Sunday Bible study

Sunday school starts this week. Besides our regular Sunday School, Tesha and Mica will also be doing a preschool Sunday school at 9:15am.

POTLUCK SUNDAY!! Bring some meat to grill for yourself and a dish to share. Most people bring extra, so if you forget or run out of time, you can still attend. Don't worry!

RIGHT NOW: The Timber Toss is Saturday at 11. If you are supposed to be there, go there now!!
9/11    End-of-summer COOKOUT potluck
9/18    Church retreat forms due!
9/18    Spokanite Brewery after church
9/25    Youth Night
9/30-10/1  Fall Retreat at Riverview Bible Camp
10/15  Youth group Scarywood

Weekly events:
Tuesday Thru-the-Bible study 10am
Sunday morning Bible class 9am
We're always looking to start a new small group, speak to Pastor West if interested.
As has been custom in the past, please bring your own meat, which our master chefs will grill, and a side dish to share. We will need impromptu help setting up and putting away the tables and chairs.

In order to have something a little more pious than Scarywood on the calendar, the first Youth Night has been scheduled for 9/25 at 5pm. Activities will include games, food, and spiritual growth.
Note to adults: If you have a nicer house and you're willing to host a Youth Night, please speak to Pastor West.

The youth group decided at their meeting last spring to go to Scarywood together on October 15. Please purchase your tickets ahead of time to save money and time. Let Pastor West know you're attending, and we'll organize the car pool the week of. Note: Only 13 years old and older may attend.
  • Continue to pray for our home-bound members: Maria Baerman, Carol Taylor, Carole Boyette, Christine Glardon, Jean Johnson, Beverly Van Epps, Louise Scherschel, Steve Anson.
  • Lance Barton's recovery from surgery.
  • All those hurting and all in need of God in their life.
  • Lance's sister-in-law
  • All experiencing tragedy: car accidents, shootings, floods, fires, etc.
BIBLE VERSE of the week
