"We move forward with F.L.A.G."

This is the closing statement of Kuya Nap Concepcion, the new Chairman, T.M.F.I.I. Board of Trustees, during the recent Thanksgiving cum General Assembly. He goes on to explain that:

  •  F – Faith. "It is the assurance of things we hope for and evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) As we face a new year, a new decade, there will be uncertainties, but God called us to step out in faith. "Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 41:14)
  • L – Leadership. One of the remarkable traits of Moses' leadership is his concern for the people of God and contending against injustice. That same passion and concern should be foremost as we take on this ministry among the indigenous people. It will put to rest all the excuses on lack and inadequacy while engaging in ministry.
  • A – Anointing. "No matter how efficiently or effectively the hands of man contribute to God’s work, the one thing that gives its meaning and purpose is the glory of God resting upon it. Without Him, the best we can produce is nothing.” (Selwyn Hughes & Trevor Partridge)
  • G – Grace. “My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Grace is not a position of weakness nor helplessness. Instead, grace is the power of Christ in you!  His power is made perfect in our weaknesses. The only reason we can do whatever God entrusted us is through His Grace. Grace is sufficient, that's it, that's all!

<<First Name>>, it is our prayer that this FLAG will guide your 2020 journey. May you move forward with fervent Faith, embracing Jesus's Leadership, empowered by the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, and relying on the sufficient Grace of God.

Have a glimpse of some of the most unforgettable moments of the assembly below. Thank God Pastor Philip Lim, our ministry partner from Palawan, was able to join us in our thanksgiving assembly. He shared a testimony and a message around the theme of our celebration, "Sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously." (Exodus 15:21)

Sis Beng Bicaldo

Pastor Philip Lim exhorted, "TMFII and partners in the ministry, let us continue in singing, rejoicing and worshiping God because we are victorious in the Lord...God will make you light to the tribes."
Datu Rudy Mande opened the event with Ulahing, a tribal prayer chant.
Student Assistance Project (SAP) recipients led the assembly in praise and worship.
"I am eager to continue my studies but I once thought of giving up. Walking 4 hours to go to school became very exhausting. But thanks be to God! It was also the time that I became part of the Student Assistance Project and the support helped cover the cost of my transportation. It was God's provision and encouragement." Aimee Aglas was in tears sharing her testimony. She's graduating Senior High School this March. Praise God!
Two of our out-going officers of the Board of Trustees were given plaque of recognition.
During the turn-over ceremony of the new set of officers of the Board of Trustees.
Pastor Raffy Lagat, one of TMFII's primary members, led the commissioning prayer for the new set of TMFII Board of Trustees. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Below are the ministry's prayer concerns this month. We invite you to join us in asking God's will in the following undertaking.

1. We praise God for a consistent meeting of Student Assistance Project (SAP) recipients' parents.' It is our prayer that through these regular meetings, they will be equipped on how to motivate and support their children in their schooling. Join us in praying for wisdom and discernment as we prepare the lessons for the parents. Pray also for our partner church to find creative ways to disciple them and become better parents and community members.

2. We plan to intensify our missions mobilization among tribal churches this year through the Bless the Least-Reached People (BTLRP) Gathering.  We intend to invite missionaries and local believers from the 13 least-reached "ethnic" tribes of the Philippines. Please pray that we will be able to coordinate well in advance with the leaders from Foursquare Gospel Church in Olayan Division and Pegsabeka tribal churches. Pray also for wisdom in planning and anointing in facilitating these prayer gatherings.

3. Praise God for the positive response and excitement of those who heard about the "Organic Crop Production Training" during the community meeting last February 1.
They have gone back to their communities and will meet with community leaders to agree on who to send in the training. This project is in partnership with LUMAD Ministry, Inc. in support of their on-going work among the Tinananon tribe in Barangay Tumanding & Lanao Kuran, Arakan Valley. Let us uphold in prayer that community leaders will wisely select trainees from 12 villages (sitios). Let us pray that they will be committed to attend the entire duration of the training, four monthly meetings. Pray for God's enablement, provision, protection, and wisdom for the participants and trainors, Cherie Morata and Josie Artos. The first conduct of the training will be on February 18-20.

4. We hope to expand our mission mobilization among the churches in Davao City this year.
We plan to participate in church prayer gathering and eventually be allowed to lead prayer sessions for LRPs. May the Lord open doors for opportunities to walk along-side city churches in mobilizing their members for intentional ministry among LRPs. Please pray for discernment and wisdom as we set appointments with church pastors and leaders. Pray for a fruitful and divine encounters as we pray.

5. "The harvest is great, but the workers are few" (Matthew 9:37). While we continue to ask the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers in the field, God also called the church to equip His people for His work. TMFII offers training of workers thru Basic Bible and Missions Training (BBMT) this March 2020 and Training on Reaching our Ethnic Neighbors or TREN in May 2020. Pray for opportunities to herald God's call to churches to engage in cross-culture ministry around their neighborhood. Pray that those whom God has called will respond and avail these trainings. Let us also pray that church leaders will encourage their members and provide needed support for a fruitful near-neighbor ethnic ministry. And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately they left their nets and followed him. (Matt 4: 19-20)
