Happy Thanksgiving!

It was a quiet Turkey Day this year as my son, husband and I celebrated with a simple roast in the crockpot and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It certainly wasn't our usual tradition, but we were thankful to be healthy and together nonetheless.

Apart from my family, I am extremely thankful for all of YOU - my loyal clients, followers, and colleagues. I feel blessed getting to work and interact with all of you whether in-person or virtually. Your likes, comments, shares, and positive feedback during sessions have buoyed my spirits during this challenging year.

I just met a lovely new client this month and something happened during the initial consult that I've never experienced before. As many of you know, the initial consult is where I come to the house for a brief assessment lasting 45-60 minutes. I get a tour of the project areas and I conduct a questionnaire. One of the questions I ask is "When was the last time you felt organized?" Usually, I get responses such as Never, When I first moved in, When I was a child, Before I had kids, etc. Well, this was the first time the client actually gave me a date! To be able to trace back the tipping point to an actual calendar day was impressive to me. I am grateful we're now working together and I hope the date of our first session marks a special occasion in her mind of a new beginning!

So thankful and honored to be on this organizing journey with all of you!

Organizing Find of the Month:
Gift Wrap & Bag Organizer

'Tis the season for gift giving! I like this wrapping station caddy as it hangs. So often people buy the ones that slide under the bed, but who wants to do all that bending and twisting?! This hangs in your closet or on the back of the door and you can easily see what you have at a glance. I also like that it holds full rolls of wrapping paper and it has the perfect pockets for greeting cards!
Never say never...
Have you ever said, "Oh, I'll never be the person to do such and such..."?
Well, I always said I'd never be the parent to let my kid have one of those silly inflatables in their front yard. And yet here we are! My kid has had a smile plastered on his face all month and passers-by have really gotten a kick out of Tom!
A little bright spot in this Covid ridden holiday season!
With Christmas coming up I tasked my 8yo with decluttering some of his toys. I was so proud when he filled up 3 bags worth of toys, books, and games! Now is a good time to do a pre-holiday purge!!
