The following Sunday we will announce the final 20th week winner and then all the winning paintings will be judged. Then the winners and prizes for the best paintings of The Spirit of Painting Contest will be announced! So take advantage this week for the last opportunity to enter!
THE PAINTING CHOSEN AS BEST PAINTING OF THE 18TH WEEK OF THE LIGHT CHASERS SPIRIT OF PAINTING CONTEST IS:
BY SHEILA CAREY
ACRYLIC ON CANVAS
24" X 18"
Congratulations to Sheila for her very serene painting of "Twilight Time". The misty background of the sea, the horizon and the sky are in sharp contrast to the crisp outline of the boat and it's reflections and the clearness of the water surrounding it. This focuses your eye on the boat. With a limited palette of reds, blues, and white she conveys the peaceful, calm atmosphere of the end of a day at sea. Sheila's painting will be entered into the final challenge at the end of the contest.
