We hope you are all staying safe and well and finding the motivation to pick up your brushes and create something wonderful! If not, maybe you can find some inspiration from our contributing artists whose paintings can be viewed below in this email. By offering you this contest we are giving you the opportunity to paint your way through this pandemic and share your artwork with our members and maybe even win a prize for your efforts.
We are starting the 17th week of our Light Chasers Spirit of Painting Contest and the contest will end after we have completed the 20th week. You have 3 more weeks to send in your artwork before the contest ends.
Thank you to all our contributing artists. We love seeing your paintings!
THE PAINTING CHOSEN AS BEST PAINTING OF THE 16TH WEEK OF THE LIGHT CHASERS SPIRIT OF PAINTING CONTEST IS:
"AUTUMN REFLECTIONS, MAINE"
BY MADELINE WIKLER
16" X 20"
Congratulations to Madeline for her serene rendering of an autumn lake scene in Maine. The stunning simplicity of the painting borders on abstraction. From the misty softness of the clouds, to the fading blues and purples of the far mountains, to the greens and rusts of the trees surrounding the lake and continuing on into the foreground lake reflections, colors flow and meld seamlessly with each other creating different shapes and shadows. You can almost feel the calm and peaceful atmosphere of a moment in time in the fall, just before the cold winter weather rushes in!
