THE PAINTING CHOSEN AS BEST PAINTING OF THE 17TH WEEK OF THE LIGHT CHASERS SPIRIT OF PAINTING CONTEST IS:

"SUNNY DAY"
BY KATHY BAIAMONTE
OIL
11" X 14"

Congratulations to Kathy for her lovely depiction of a "Sunny Day" at the beach. Sunlight bounces off the shrubs, and the white sand as it beckons you to follow the beach around the curve behind the foliage. You can almost feel the warmth and rough texture of the sand. The clear shallow water makes it easy for your eye to get lost in the reflections of pink, lavendar, blue and green at the water's edge. The unusual view makes you feel as if the artist was standing in the water and painting the scene!!!
