We are beginning the 12th week of our Light Chasers
SPIRIT OF PAINTING CONTEST
We are extending the challenge from last week
!!!! INTERIOR CHALLENGE EXTENDED !!!
We had very few Interior submissions so we're giving you another week. If you've had some thoughts on the subject but haven't had time to get them down, now's your chance. So look around with your artist eye and take the challenge to
"PAINT AN INTERIOR SCENE"
in your house or else where!!!
Only paintings with this subject matter will be accepted for the Sunday, November 8th, Spirit of Painting Contest.
Let's see how many of you can rise to the Challenge and send in some AMAZING interpretations of an INTERIOR.
If you submitted a painting last week that was not an interior, please resubmit it for week 13 starting November 9 when we resume open subjects.
If we do not receive at least 10 paintings for each week's contest
we will be cancelling the contest due to lack of participation.
Please keep your paint brushes moving and your creativity flowing. this contest is only as active as you are!!!

"THE BARRENS OF WEST DOVER, NOVA SCOTIA"
BY EDWARD WEDLER
23 X 29 cm
CONGRATULATIONS TO EDWARD FOR HIS STRIKING WATERCOLOR LANDSCAPE THAT IS RENDERED SOMEWHERE BETWEEN AN IMPRESSIONISTIC
AND AN ABSTRACT STYLE OF PAINTING.
BOLD SPLASHES OF ORANGE AND GOLD AUTUMNAL COLOR ATTRACT YOUR ATTENTION TO THE SCENE.
THE DIAGONAL AND CURVED LINES OF THE HILLS,
THAT ARE SURROUNDED BY FOLIAGE AND SHADOWS,

"If people would just look at the paintings, I don’t think they would have any trouble enjoying them. It’s like looking at a bed of flowers, you don’t tear your hair out over what it means."
