NYBG Colloquium

The Botanical Gardens will be holding a conference on landscapes and environmental law in conjunction with Fordham University professors. Some of the topics to be covered include light pollution, bird migration, NYC waterfronts, and social vulnerability. Visit NYBG to learn more.

Changemaker Challenge

The Fordham Changemaker Challenge is a student social venture contest organized by the Fordham Social Innovation Collaboratory. Through the Challenge, students generate ideas for innovative projects or ventures that respond to a social or environmental problem. Winners will receive seed funding to launch or expand their ventures.
1st Prize - $2,500  |  2nd Prize – $1,500  |  3rd Prize - $1,000

Data Science Day

Join the Columbia University Data Science Institute for demos​ and lightning talks by​ researchers ​presenting their latest work in data science. The event is designed to foster collaboration between innovators in academia and industry.

Recent Milestones for the Fordham Social Innovation Collaboratory:
Verizon Foundation selected Fordham SI Collaboratory to lead a team of various Fordham clubs for a residential summer high school youth program at RH during the month of July.

21 students in the BMW Electric Vehicle Practicum are gaining steam towards a "Big Ideas" presentation to BMW executives at their headquarters. The mission is to help BMW with EV adoption in the New York region - focusing on younger buyers who may "hold a megaphone to the ear of society."

A Social Innovation Practicum in NYC region Food/ Farmers Impact Investing was launched with partner SlowMoney NYC and Fordham Law Alum Derek Denckla.
