The Fordham Social Innovation Collaboratory is looking for students to assist the planning of the Catalysts for Social Change Fundraiser. Students from any major or school within Fordham is welcome to assist. Email student Kevin Noyola at for more information or to sign up as a helper during any stage of the planning and event coordination process.

Spare is a smartphone app, that is geared toward ending poverty. It was invented by Business School and Fordham Foundry alum Andra Tomsa.

Help VOTE SPARE as one of 24 startups to pitch in front of a jury. As part of our early stage startup program Boost, 100 promising early stage companies have been selected to show the world what they've been working on at The Next Web Conference in New York. 
From Students for Fair Trade:
Student for Fair Trade is proud to be hosting Alta Gracia Apparel, the first ever clotting company to pay a living wage to its workers in the developing world. The Alta Gracia worker speaking event will give two garment workers from the Dominican Republic the opportunity to share their personal stories of working in Free Trade Zone factories and how fair trade changed their lives.

There will be a new course Spring Semester 2016. Patrick Struebi, founder and CEO of Fairtrasa and Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale University, will be teaching a course called How to Change the World.

Class Description: Do you long to live with meaning and purpose, applying your talents to what really matters to yourself and the world? This class explores "mission" in life through social entrepreneurship to make this world a better place. We will examine sustainable businesses, fair-trade and mission-driven leaders, while exploring our own missions.
