Fordham Social Innovation

This week in innovation...

Fordham students can apply to participate in new multi-university INNOVATE NYC program
For students passionate about social change and developing the skills necessary to turn their  ideas into action, we are excited to announce that our university has teamed up with the DO School and 8 other NYC higher education institutions to create a new landmark program within New York City’s higher education landscape: Innovate NYC.  This program offers students from the participating universities and colleges a unique opportunity to launch their careers as changemakers within their communities and learn invaluable entrepreneurial skills. Through a curated co-creation method, together with 19 other participants you will tackle a real-life challenge set by the City of New York: to find new and innovative ways to overcome the scarcity of affordable resources for non-profits & social enterprises. The first 150 students to submit their application will automatically receive invitations to the first skills-building workshop, a day-long event focusing on enhancing your capacity for ideation.
The first step crucial to social innovation.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: November 8th 2015 (midnight EDT)
Students of past and prospective PRME Champions schools are invited to enter the PRME-LEAD Challenge. Held as part of the 2015 LEAD Symposium,

students are invited to submit a short video that captures their vision on the Roadmap for Integrated Sustainability.
Students should feel free to challenge the status quo and encourage ambition among LEAD companies! In 2015, the LEAD Symposium will challenge participants to integrate sustainability into every functional area of a company, including Research & Development, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc. and will also serve to launch the Roadmap for Integrated Sustainability – a comprehensive framework for the acceleration of best practice and performance on sustainability integration that will enable companies to lead the way to a sustainable future.
We have just extended the deadline to 8 November, though earlier submission is encouraged, so that we might highlight some of the material in a video montage.
