Welcome to the CQ September 2017 Newsletter

Election 2017 has been and gone with lots of turbulence in the process and still to come. Some are left frustrated, others disappointed. But the views of New Zealanders on Poverty, Clean Rivers and Housing have been expressed and will remain, regardless of the coalition that is fabricated.

Now is not the time to chill out, but keep the voice that we need to smarten up, and quickly. I was sent this link on farming in The Netherlands recently and thought that’s innovation. So what do we need to be innovative to become game changers rather than rely on the government of the day to sort these issues out. These are conversations that I believe CQ can help with going forward.

Regional Drinks - What fun!

It started in Auckland and finished in Dunedin this month and Wellington is all set for 17th October at Pickle and Pie Deli.

Harv had the chance to catch up with members who he hadn’t seen for a while - trading a bit of banter along the way. What stood out was the energy created when members come together who don’t know each other but have this common bond. Very cool!

Imagine what the Unconference will be like in 2018!   Yes it’s going ahead, although no details are out yet as it keeps developing. We will keep you posted.

Feedback - It’s not confidential

Recently we learnt that some members thought that feedback was confidential.

Just to be transparent re feedback of any kind with CQ - it ain't confidential - ever. Otherwise there is no chance to respond and develop as an organisation.

When you submit feedback after a meeting it goes to Harv and Karen directly, then they forward to Mary Beth and the facilitator involved, regardless of the content. If required, a discussion will be had on areas to improve.

We don’t consider it as criticism, positive or otherwise. It’s information which we intend to utilise to develop.
