Sport, Culture & Recreation Summer Tour

Parkland Valley will no longer offer the Sport, Culture & Recreation Summer Tour in communities. If you are still interested in having a summer program we will support you by hosting free leadership workshops to prepare your leader and will also have a mentor available to support your local leader throughout the summer. Contact Kacie if you are interested in having your own leader and taking advantage of the workshops and mentorship program.

**REMINDER ** The Community Initiatives Fund Summer Grant deadline is February 1 and the Summer Student Works Grant deadline is February 17
 

Heart & Stroke My Healthy Community Grant

   APPLY NOW. The Heart and Stroke Foundation is now accepting applications for grants of up to $4,000. The grants are available to Saskatchewan groups and organizations to develop projects that will make a healthy difference, with a particular focus on children, youth and families.

Any group or organization in Saskatchewan working to make healthy, lasting changes in their community could be considered for funding.

Applications will be accepted starting today and will close at noon on February 10, 2015. Find the application form here. 

Community Grant Program

The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program is a partnership among Sask Sport Inc., SaskCulture Inc., and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Inc. The grant program assists in the development of sport, culture and recreation programs by providing funds to non-profit community organizations operated by volunteers.

First Nation band councils and municipal governments are eligible to apply. Grant amounts are determined by population according to the 2011 Census figures from Statistics Canada or the December 2013 figures from the Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.

2016 Grant Applications are now being accepted until February 28, 2015 for the grant period April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2016.
 

 

Creative Entrepreneurship Meeting

Please save the date of March 28, 2015 for the Creative Entrepreneurship Meeting. The event theme is Turning your Creative Passions into a Business and is hosted in partnership by the City of Yorkton and Parkland Valley Sport, Culture & Recreation District. This meeting is targeted toward visual & performing artists, crafters & authors ready to move their passions into a business
