VWL Turns 20!
Since 1996, VWL has assisted women working in the law and promoted the interests of women through the law, with great success.

We invite you to join us for this very special celebration. The event will be held from 6:30pm on Thursday 20th October 2016 at The Bank on Collins, 394 Collins Street, Melbourne.

Event is $75 for VWL/WBA members, $50 for law student members and $100 for non-members. Find out more and register. See you there!

Addressing Unconscious Bias
Join us for some training to help you recognise and develop strategies for addressing unconscious bias in the workplace. Presentations will be made by:
  • Laura Douglas, Senior Associate at boutique workplace relations law firm, Justitia; and
  • Natasha Toholka, Partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team at at Hall & Wilcox.

Flexibility and Teams: Making it Work Together
Join us for a panel discussion on how to make flexibility work in your team. Hosted by Patrizia Mercuri, Partner at Lander & Rogers, our accomplished panelists are:

Women in Law Breakfast
VWL, in support of the Law Council of Australia, invites you to attend the 2016 Women in Law Breakfast. Join the panel of leading lawyers as they share their insights into career paths, the role of women in our profession and the future for women in law.

Moderated by ABC journalist and author of 'The Wife Drought', Annabel Crabb, the guest speakers are:

  • The Honourable Chief Justice Diana Bryant AO.
  • The Honourable Chief Justice Marilyn Warren AC.
  • Kate Jenkins, Australia's new Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner.

The Victorian Government is developing the state's first ever gender equality strategy and invites you to have your say on how we can achieve gender equality in Victoria.
