VWL's biennial Lesbia Harford Oration is back in 2015 - and how!
On 9 September at the Melbourne Town Hall Clem Ford will orate on what the broader diversity agenda means for gender equality. Tables are filling fast. VWL members receive a substantial discount on the entry price which includes a two course lunch and drinks, plus a copy of a new collection of Lesbia Harford's poems edited by Oliver Dennis and published by UWA Publishing.

Fitted For Work - Clothing Drive
Fitted For Work provides women experiencing disadvantage with a free complete personal outfitting and interview preparation service. The supply of clean, quality work-appropriate clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories is critical to its success.
During August and September, VWL will run a Fitted For Work clothing drive. Members can drop off any work wear no longer needed to VWL's Administrator at the LIV on Bourke Street, Melbourne (please email to confirm drop off time). Fitted For Work needs items in small sizes, average sizes and large sizes. The ABC for Fitted For Work clothing donations:

New web content manager
Welcome to Hilary Browning, VWL's new web content manager (and communications committee member). Hilary will assist with the makeover of VWL's website and keep it up to date and interesting once the new site is operational.

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne - to 27 August 
The theme of this year's festival is ‘Equality’. The diverse program of more than 50 films, and Q&As and masterclasses, explores examples of gender, sexuality, ability and inclusivity within film.
