What's Happening
The BetterMakeRoom free UPNEXT texting program makes it easy for YOU to get helpful information about financial aid, the college application process, and more via text. If you’re a high school junior or senior, text your first and last name to 240-623-8319. If  you’re in college, text your first and last name to 240-623-2789.

It’s National College Application Month! And celebs are pledging to do your laundry if you make the pledge to apply to college.

Take the pledge and tell #BetterMakeRoom why you’re applying to college!

(Disclaimer: Celebs probably won’t actually do your laundry, but they do care a lot about your education. tbh)

MaineCAN wants you to join them as an Aspire Higher Maine School. The goal of Aspire Higher Maine is to provide in-school support to help students complete both an application for education after high school and complete their FAFSA.

MaineCAN has resources and supports to provide schools so they may have a successful event and schools that sign up through the below link will receive detailed support and resources.

To receive additional information, sign up today to be an Aspire Higher Maine school. To access available resources for a successful event, please visit their website

All of our GEAR UP students have a story to tell. It's up to us to help them find their voice to tell it. Do you know a student who would be interested in sharing their story with GEAR UP Maine? Be it a story of success or struggle, we want to hear it and share it. It's so important now, more than ever, that our students' voices are heard. Please contact GEAR UP Maine Communication Specialist, Kayla Hopkins if you are interested in diving into this student story-telling adventure.
