Crisis and Stakeholder Communications in Sports PR

We hope you are all doing well and staying indoors right now! Even though everything is moving online, there are still ways to keep in touch and learn! Anthony Baldini, one of the PRSSA district conference speakers, will be holding a workshop on Thursday, April 2nd at 7pm.

Anthony Baldini provides strategic communications counsel to businesses and individuals in sports & technology. He is the founder of Athlete Strategies, an LA-based sports strategy agency with clients across the U.S. In his workshop, Crisis and Stakeholder Communications in Sports PR, Anthony Baldini explores how teams and leagues have handled image-defining moments, from Michael Vick to COVID-19.

Internship Opportunity:  Full-time Communication Associate Positions with Questbridge Alumni Relations

About Internship
  • Conduct research on topics of interest to alumni to develop original content, mainly for educational purposes. Identify alumni needs through interviews and address gaps in current offerings with feature stories, and share content through multiple platforms.
  • Write or curate engaging content for articles, blogs, emails, website, and social media posts, on topics ranging from professional development, identity, networking, graduate school, etc.
  • Assist in managing alumni website portal and forums (Facebook, Slack, etc.), including some light moderation.
  • Assist with programming for alumni and innovate ways to facilitate connections within the alumni population.

About internship duties

Internship Opportunity: W2O Group Summer Public Relations Account Intern

About the fellowship: They're looking for a student graduating in May that can be hired full time after the internship is over. Interns will work Healthcare and pharmaceutical teams and actively participate in account team projects and receive exposure to all facets of the business.
  • Provide support in documenting and creating processes to improve internal efficiency. Support event coordination and client meeting preparation.
  • Research, write and prepare communications for account teams.
  • Create and maintain information resources for account teams (media lists, databases, intranet, social media platforms, etc.)
  • Participate and contribute to planning meetings and team activities.

PRSSA meetings are every Tuesday at 6 PM in DBH 221.
