Come Craft with Your Amigos this Thursday!

Join PRSSA for a DIY night in DBH 117 from 5-7 PM for crafting and creative design activities for the upcoming showcase on May 14! All materials will be provided. PLUS, other student groups, including Ad Club, Spartan Daily, The Spear, El Espartano Noticias, etc. will be joining in on the fun!

Nadel Phelan, Inc.


About Nadel Phelan: Nadel Phelan, Inc. specializes in comprehensive media relations, content and digital marketing for a roster of clients ranging from venerable industry giants to innovative startups.


About the internship: Nadel Phelan is seeking detail-oriented individuals who are flexible and eager to assist in many facets of marketing and PR. Duties will include market research, working on developing press releases, identifying speaking opportunities, securing awards and preparing account representatives for briefings with journalists. Must be junior or senior standing. 12 - 14 hours minimum.

About W2O Group: W2O Group specializes in healthcare – everything from pharma, medical device to digital health. Their clients, and those that the new hire would support, range from local community work with the Junior Giants, digital health and technology companies.


About the internship: Applicants should have 1-2 internships under their belt, be driven and are interested in media relations. This position can start as a summer role into full time or full time from the start – it depends on the person hired.

About Poshmark: Poshmark is a social commerce platform where users are able to buy, sell, and share their personal style. It’s a large community for fashion lovers with over millions of shoppers.


About the internship: This is a summer PR internship that will start in June. It offers hands-on experience in PR at a rapidly growing retail/tech company located in Redwood City. There is an opportunity to turn this internship into a full-time position.

Testarossa Winery


About Testarossa Winery: Testarossa Winery is a producer of premier California Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.  Testarossa Winery was started in 1993 in Rob and Diana Jensen’s Silicon Valley garage. Since then it has grown to national prominence, garnering more than 1,000 scores of 90+ points by renowned wine critics.


About the Internship: The Marketing Intern will act as a Marketing Production Artist. This internship will last from mid-June through August during which time their Digital Marketing Designer will be on a two-month sabbatical. The main responsibility is to update various marketing materials such as eBlasts, Point of Sale posters, social media, video, etc. all with adhering to the Testarossa Brand Guidelines. The intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager and work closely with all departments at Testarossa Winery, specifically the Hospitality Department. The position is scheduled to be Monday through Friday 9am – 5:30pm. The applicant should be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, the applicant will sit/stand for long periods of time and use the

computer for the duration of the shift. Work typically is performed in an indoor/office environment.

Those applying must be graduating this Spring and if the internship goes well there is an opportunity to be hired on full-time in the fall. 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Summit Scholarship

The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations will select up to 10 students from any underrepresented groups to receive travel scholarships to attend the Plank Center’s Summit and Milestones in Mentoring Gala.
Each scholarship will include air
travel to and from Chicago, one night’s stay
(Nov. 7) at the Union League Club, one ticket to the Gala and one ticket to the Plank Summit,
totaling an estimated $1,500.

2019 PRSA Foundation Travel Grant

PRSA Foundation is a non-profit organization within PRSA National that is dedicated to raising diversity and inclusion within the public relations industry. PRSA Foundation will select up to 10 multicultural PRSSA students to receive travel grants to attend the 2019 PRSSA National Conference in San Diego from October 18-22.


Each grant will include conference registration, travel, hotel fees, accommodations, and any meals not provided through conference registration. The grant totals up to $2,500.


The deadline for this application is Friday, May 31.
