"Faith in action is love-and love in action is service" - Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.  Our students once again have made the Bishop Gorman community proud.  First, a group of senior students attended a banquet hosted by Carter BloodCare, and we were presented the 1A High School of the Year Award for life saving service through our annual blood donation campus events worked and supported by our high school student body.  This was followed by a group of 20 high school students who traveled to Houma, Louisiana to provide hurricane relief over the long weekend.  I have heard so many wonderful things about the trip, and we hope to provide more opportunities throughout the year.  This is what God truly calls us to, service to others.  ~ M. Schick, Interim Principal

Upcoming Academic Competition Opportunities
TAPPS State Academic Team: Attention aspiring scholars: high school students have the opportunity to be a part of the TAPPS State Academic Team. From spelling and poetry interpretation to calculator and current events--there is sure to be a contest for you!  The state meet will take place on April 11, 12, and 13 in Waco, TX. Why participate? Being a part of an academic team challenges students intellectually and helps them build confidence and a wide range of skills. Visit the library to sign up. List of TAPPS Contests and Descriptions

PSIA:  Join our PSIA Team!  Each year our middle school students participate in the Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) academic competition with tremendous results! Students are encouraged to try out for two or three (or even four!) different events as that gives them the best opportunity to be chosen.  Questions? Contact Mrs. Lisa Breedlove, our PSIA Campus Coordinator at  PSIA Tryout Schedule
