Partner Spotlight!

Christine Nelson, Health Education Specialist for the UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE)

Ever been to a glean and wondered if education or recipes are being included in the distributions of gleaned fruits and vegetables? The answer is YES! GleanSLO collaborates with incredible nutrition experts who help families understand how to cook and utilize the fresh, local produce available through GleanSLO. This month, we've asked Christine Nelson of UC Cooperative Extension to tell us more about how she helps families eat better through nutrition education at Food Bank distributions.

Visit our blog to hear Christine discuss how she does this and how UCCE partners with GleanSLO.

Thank you, Christine for all you do for our community!
