Reception - Form of the Week   Form 5 and 6 Creative Curriculum Event
Our Reception children have had an enjoyable couple of weeks. One of the highlights was meeting with their Form 5 & 6 Buddies who visited them from our Muswell Avenue site. They were also visted by a professional drama group and they participated in a Gunpowder plot workshop, as well as learning about different Cultural festivals in their other lessons.

Whether it is a young child pretending to cook and serve food at a restaurant or an older child organising a lemonade stand on a hot, summer day, children are naturally drawn to running a business. The Enterprise Activities Group was an opportunity to do just that!

After School Clubs
Please note that there will be no After School Clubs during the last week of term, w/c 8th December.
Outdoor Coats
Please ensure that your child comes to school with an outdoor coat now that the weather has become much colder and damp. Even though they might come in the car, they are out for over an hour on most days at playtime and it is of particular importance during sports days, when the children are travelling to and from venues and out in the cold.
Safety: Now that the nights are drawing in, any pupils who walk to and/or from school by themselves need to be reminded by parents to come directly to school or home and ensure that they are safety aware. Please do have a chat with your child about this.

We are still receiving complaints from residents, particularly our neighbour directly opposite, that parents are parking over her drive and/ or double parking outside the front of the school at drop off. She expressed how much inconvenience this continues to cause her and we expressly ask that parents please follow the school policy of parking considerately of our neighbours and safely. In addition, the drop off zone is only to drop your child and not to park on whilst waiting for the nursery staff to collect your child. Where parent adhere to this, it generally continues to work well.

We hope that many of you will join in the festivities at the Carols by Church Light celebration at Dukes Avenue Baptist Church. This will be a lovely opportunity for our entire school community to be together. We look forward to seeing you there!
