  The Floating Classroom
Form 5&6 had a wonderful day out on the Floating Classroom just before half term.  We had an exciting time, learning a great deal and enjoying a lovely, sunny trip along the Regent's Canal from Little Venice to Camden.

The children were a delight to take out.  They were enthusiastic, engaged and responded beautifully to every task set.  Here are a selection of accounts of the day by children in Form 5.

A hundred years of Remembrance:

The breathtaking image of 888 246 ceramic poppies adorning The Tower of London was a triumph and a labour of love for artist Paul Cummins and 16,000 volunteers who painstakingly laid them for the installation ‘Blood-swept Lands and a Sea of Red’ to mark the centenary since the start of The Great War.

After School Clubs
Please note that there will be no After School Clubs during the last week of term, w/c 8th December.
Parking: We continue to request that parents do not park across residents’ drives, park on the zig zags during drop off and pick up times nor perform three point turns around the school entrance. The school has witnessed a rise in all of these incidents, despite many previous requests. We have received a number of complaints this term from residents and ask parents to cooperate fully with the school’s requests.

Reminder about snacks at school
A hot lunch is served at school each day; the menu is available for you to see on the parents’ notice board outside the school. However, should you wish to supply a packed lunch for your child the school encourages parents to provide them with a healthy, balanced and nutritious meal. If your child does have a packed lunch we request that you don’t include chocolate, crisps, or fizzy drinks. We also operate a strict ‘no nuts’ policy which should be adhered to both at school or when providing packed lunch for off-site visits.
We require notice of half a term if you would like to cancel or start hot lunches.
It is advisable to pack something for your child to eat at morning break and/or afternoon break. This should be only one of the following:
A piece of fruit
A small (nut free) cereal bar
2 small non-chocolate biscuits
Yoghurt or cheese snack or similar
In order to ensure that children eat their lunch, we do not want to have them over eating at break times. Please ensure that you adhere to the above request.
We encourage parents to send water in rather than juice. Free drinking water is available at all times.
