We're back!

Sort of. Pretty soon.

Hey, that was pretty long holiday break, am I right? Sometimes life gets crazy and exciting and once you finally come up for air it's April. But do not fear, MegaGamers, for I bring you vague tidings of fairly credible joy.

If you haven't seen the newest installment of the Shut Up and Sit Down MegaGame adventures, take the time to watch this video. The London-based Megagame Makers ran a 300 player game of Watch the Skies! that may literally blow your mind.

While I work out the details of the next exciting Cleveland game event (and I promise, details are coming eventually), here are some related bits and baubles for you to swat at while you wait.

My friends at the MegaGame Society in NYC have just sold out their "Watch the Skies! - Rookie's Day" game and are planning another as soon as they can.

In addition, they've announced their first expansion - MegaGame Society - Chicago! The Chicago team will be running their first game in June with follow-up games closely thereafter.

Hit them up on Facebook or Twitter for the latest New York and Chicago MegaGame news.

The Theater Ninjas are a Cleveland-based nomadic theater company that is interested in working in non-traditional venues and exploring theater in non-traditional ways. This exploration includes taking a critical look at the line between theater and games and finding exciting ways to bring the two closer together. I will be continuing my collaboration with them in 2015 on a number of projects, including The Turing Machine.

Give them a look.

Friend of the Council and terrifying Soviet Deputy Premier Andrew Stackhouse is designing a MegaGame based in the Prohibition-era United States. He is currently looking for helpers and minions of all kinds - but particularly Cleveland-area playtesters to help him with balance and game play issues. If you have an interest in any of these things, send him a note at stackout@hotmail.com.

I have it on good authority he is willing to pay in piggyback rides and singing telegrams.
