Run to the Beat!

What does the following list of songs have in common?

Michael Jackson - They Don't Care About Us
UB40 - Red Red Wine
Jason Mraz - Curbside Prophet
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Jay-Z & Beyonce - '03 Bonnie and Clyde
Van Halen - On Fire
Jason Aldean - Crazy Town

These songs are all almost precisely 180 beats per minute!

Why is that important? Running with a quicker cadence (steps per minute) can help you run more gently and efficiently! Your stride will be shorter, not necessarily faster. Taking longer strides and running with a slower cadence means you will land with more force and typically causes the body to strike heel first, which is a natural breaking mechanism.

We're all about making running feel as good as possible! If you love running with music then try out a few of these songs and see how you like running with a shorter, more efficient stride!

If you want to check out an extensive list of songs at 180 bpm click here!
