The Therapists Network Newsletter Feb 2017

Welcome to the first edition of The Therapists' Network Newsletter! We hope you enjoy reading this.

The aim of the newsletter is to inform and educate; for marketing and advertising for therapists; for The Therapists' Network to keep you up to date with our activities and news; and also to pass information onto clients and possible clients. So please share this with clients if you wish.

Coming this year (around June 2017) you will be able to become a Member of The Therapists' Network . There will be monthly meetings for members that are much more focused than the existing networking meetings.

  • There will be deeply focused networking one-to-one where you will start to build much deeper relationships with other therapists. As you know, networking can lead to business coming your way, however, in the therapy world you need to know and trust any therapist well for both business links and possible referrals, so this will be facilitated in a fun way.
  • We will have speakers who will do hour long workshops, rather than just sit and talk at you - so there will be opportunities for experiential learning about business and therapies and other relevant subjects.
  • We will have 'focus on you' sessions where everyone attending will focus on one issue or problem a member is facing to find possible solutions/supportive resources etc.
  • We are developing a Therapists' Network website - where you can have a public facing profile for your therapies, workshops etc. Obviously this will start off a small site, but as membership grows it will become much better known and the public/clients will know where to go to find a good therapist. There will be other resources on the site too.

To become a member you will need to be able to evidence membership of an accepted professional body, and public liability and professional indemnity insurance. The aim is to become a body of highly qualified and professional therapists who provide a good service to their clients. We wish to build an excellent reputation as the 'go to' place to find well-being support. Much more will come in the future as membership grows. Watch this space!

If you are a therapist and would like to contribute an article - we are looking for up to 300 words with a photo, about an item of interest. It may be about your therapy, your specialism, or some research in your field, etc. Alternatively you may like to do something more light-hearted like a crossword, cartoon etc. about therapy. If you have an idea for an article, and have are not sure about it, please contact the Editor: linda@lindabishopp.co.uk.

                       ............................................................................................................

Please let us know of any ideas you have to improve this newsletter. We plan on three editions a year and we are looking for contributions from you for future editions!

And, if you like this newsletter, please share it with your contacts in the therapy world or your clients.
