This brief eNewsletter provides the most recent updates for
the Hudson City School District Capital Project. It will be released roughly every two weeks, although this is dependent on new information becoming available.

Upcoming Events

The Board has begun to see some drawings and renderings, and expect to receive more formal proposals from the architects in the coming weeks and months. What has been presented thus far are simply proposals, which can be altered if they do not suit our academic or financial goals.


Now that there are detailed preliminary designs for the Capital Project, join us for a public forum to share and discuss the most up-to-date designs.

The next edition of this newsletter contains a more detailed description of the status of the project and will be released prior to the first forum. Since the vote in February, our main priorities have been: 

  • consulting with administrators, teachers and staff affected by grade reorganization about their specific requirements, 
  • designs that are structurally and environmentally sound, and
  • reviewing current state and federal requirements and recommendation.

This collaboration has been instrumental in the development of preliminary designs by Rhinebeck Architecture and Arris Contracting Company, Inc., the firms hired by Hudson CSD in April.


Join us at one of the forums listed above and tell us what you like (and do not like) about the preliminary plans. These are design proposals and can still be adjusted, so come let us know what you think!



Ways to get involved
The Capital Project is always on the agenda at Board meetings. The next meeting is Monday, June 20, 2016. Visit the district website to view other meeting dates and information or check the electronic sign in front of the High School.
 
The architects, engineer and construction management team are available to meet on Mondays at 11 a.m.  Any interested parties are welcome to attend by calling the District Office in advance at 518-828-4360, ext. 2101. 

If you have expertise or interest in any aspect of the project, please get in touch with the Board using this Google Form.
