Jeans & Ties & Suitcases
The key to cool travel—and great lifestyle websites—is figuring it out as you go
A friend emailed recently, pitching a story idea for Jeans & Ties. "I’m not sure which direction you’re taking your site," he wrote, and that’s kinda the point.
When someone asks what I do—usually to break up the monotony of watching our kids dig for dinosaur bones on the playground—I find myself explaining Jeans & Ties. And though the name leans heavy on fashion, it’s always been so much more than that. On Jeans & Ties, we eat. We root. We hike. We keep kicking ass, even when we lose a foot. It’s a reflection of my own life: bold and relatively stylish, but also unfocused and random AF.
On Jeans & Ties, we also travel—as good a theme as any for this debut newsletter. So pack your bags (you’ve got a duffel, right?) and do what I set out to do when I launched Jeans & Ties two years ago: Figure it out as you go.
