This August we hosted a CMC Gathering to focus on the ways Love INC can work better with our partner churches to serve our community.

We can help disciples in the Cedar Valley serve wisely and with long term sustainability in mind. Getting involved in our Transformational Ministry or hosting a Redemptive Compassion class can help your church make a lasting impact in our community.
The Fall 2015 Transformation Classes will being Tuesday evening, Sept. 1. We currently have 30 Love INC households signed up to take one of these three classes: Basic Budgeting, Boundaries or Affirming Your Potential.

Each evening of classes begins with a meal. We need individuals or groups who are willing to provide one meal to the participants and volunteers. Click here to find more information and to sign-up.
Redemptive Compassion is a 6-week study that encourages the local church to consider helping those in our community in ways that bring lasting change and greater stability.

We are open to facilitating one Redemptive Compassion class per semester if any of our partner churches are interested in hosting. We can also provide teaching materials to you if your church is interested in facilitating this course on your own.

Meet Stephanie Carter, our new Transformation Ministry Coordinator! Stephanie was recently employed at Prairie Lakes Church as their Local Missions Coordinator. She brings experience in working with individuals in poverty, coordinating volunteers and teaching others about poverty culture here in the Cedar Valley.

She and her husband, Keeyon, are expecting their first child any day. Stephanie will join us at Love INC near the beginning of the new year.

Support Love INC by attending Prince of Peace Lutheran Church's Craft Extravaganza on September 12, 2015. Enjoy bounce houses, kids' carnival games, a craft show, a bake sale, a car show and door prizes.

A beef and noodle lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Admission is free!

The event is wheelchair accessible. A portion of all the proceeds benefit Love INC.

This month we had the privilege to serve a young, pregnant couple in our community. They are expecting twins and the pregnancy has complications that require multiple trips per month to Iowa City for prenatal care.

Normally Love INC is able to provide one gas card per year to households who qualify. However, after receiving a generous grant from the Guernsey Community Foundation we can provide more resources toward transportation needs when qualifying circumstances come up.

Because of this generous grant we are able to come alongside this couple and bear the cost of one trip per month to Iowa City for their appointments. We are delighted to serve them and are looking forward to the birth of their sweet babies.
