April 2015

We've had a great start to 2015. We are amazed at how much we've been able to fit into the first quarter including a spring semester of Transformational Classes, three Redemptive Compassion classes for Love INC volunteers and partner churches,  two Volunteer Gatherings, one more partner church added, an Easter promotional event with Life 101.9 and, of course, hundreds of needs met in our community.

Two important events are coming up ... What is Love INC? and the 2015 Love INC Golf Tournament! Read on to see more ...

We assume you get asked this question a lot.

If so, we'd like you to invite those in your congregation or circle of friends who are curious to join us for an event for more information about: who we are, how we are unique to other charitable organizations, how you can volunteer your time or donate to our mission.

Monday, April 27

Yard Work Volunteers
Individuals or groups who are interested in helping members of our community clean up their yards. These are typically one-time projects.

Last week we were contacted by a mom seeking help with the cost of a bus ticket for her son to travel down south to live with his grandmother.

From our conversation, mom was relieved to have her son finish school and was pleased to be able to shield him from the pull of the "streets". She felt strongly though that for him to continue on a clear path, it was best for him to leave and begin his young adult life with extended family down south.

We took the opportunity to speak at length with her son and his grandmother to hear their stories. Both were looking forward to the transition.

Love INC met her son just before his bus left the Cedar Valley. We were able to visit briefly at the ticket counter and the family expressed their appreciation for the help Love INC provided with part of the cost of ticket.

We're hoping for new employment, new relationships and a bright new future for this young man.
