On the tee from Jenahura...

Ivor Robson may have said goodbye to The Open but he will be joining us at Royal Troon in July

Dear <<First Name>>

In the modified words of a well know comedian "what a few weeks it's been"...

I am personally thrilled and honoured to announce legendary Open Championship starter, the voice of the first tee - Ivor Robson has kindly agreed to temporarily suspend his retirement for Jenahura. Mr. Robson will dust off his microphone and will settle the nerves :-) of our esteemed guests at Royal Troon for the Jenahura Open on Monday 25th July.  Many thanks Ivor - we can't wait to see those nerves settled!

Following on from my winter ramblings in February, we have undertaken some very grueling and important research for our wonderful clients in Bermuda, Silvermere (Surrey), Pinehurst (NC), Augusta (GA) and Kiawah Island (SC).  And I am pleased to confirm that 80% meet the required Jenahura standard for visitation.

Richie, Jamie and Harry have all but managed to obtain Orange status on EasyJet with visits to Bermuda, Kenya, Australia, India, Morocco, Egypt and China - reflecting the global (and costly) nature of "European" professional golf. More sponsors needed please.  Call 07768 876729 - 24/7.

This preamble would not be complete without mentioning The Masters and Danny Willett's sensational victory.  No words can convey just how exciting it was for us to be sat on the side of 16 when the drama unfolded.  However, I have tried my very best with a diary entitled: Carlsberg don't do golf trips but if they did... There were so many highlights but to meet and listen to Gary Player was a lifetime thrill - a truly inspirational man.  David Leadbetter, a real gent reached an amicable agreement with yours truly not to try and fix my swing.

Moving on... it's less than a month now before the Road to Bermuda gets under way at Bearwood Lakes. The Jenahura Masters in association with M Restaurants tees off an epic 2016 Invitational Series on the 19th May. And for the first time the individual winner will be presented with a Jenahura Jacket exclusively designed by our good friends from Peak & Horn. The jacket entitles the winner to no ongoing privileges whatsoever.  However, he/she will receive a bespoke, one-of-a-kind Jenahura Jacket to wear with great pride. Any good?!

Spring has sprung, it's time to have fun,

Martyn and #TeamJenahura

Participation is by invitation only.

Above: Jamie Elson en-route to 6th place in the 2016 World Par-3 Championship at Turtle Hill GC, Bermuda.  The winner of the Road to Bermuda will get to enjoy this delightful 'short' course.

There have been some encouraging early season performances from Jenahura Tournament Professionals - Richard McEvoy (below top), Harry Casey (below left) and Jamie Elson (below right).

Richie has played in a number of European Tour events with a couple of good finishes in Australia and India (read more). Holding McEvoy back from contending is a mis-firing putter. Suffice to say he is working very hard to put this right.

A tie for 6th place in the World Par-3 Championship in Bermuda (read more) and a 2nd place finish in the opening MENA Tour event in Morocco (read more) have put Jamie in excellent spirits for the season ahead.

Harry made is first cut on the Challenge Tour yesterday - a terrific achievement in only his second start of the year.  He will now look to build on this confidence as the tour moves into full swing.

Click on a picture below to read the player bios, catch up on their latest results and forthcoming schedules. Between them they will feature on all Sky Sports golf coverage in 2016 on three different tours... look out for them and give them a cheer!

Our featured partner this time around is The Left Shoe CompanyThe Left Shoe Company combines the skill of yesterday's craftsmen with today's state of the art technology.  Put simply - made to measure gentlemen shoes, hand made to order.  They look amazing and fit beautifully. Footware that will also look terrific with a tailor made suit or Jenahura Jacket courtesy of Peak & Horn.  Buy both - you deserve it.
And finally...

You may have seen this film already but if you haven't I urge you to waste four and a half minutes of your day - you won't be disappointed.  I think the European Tour may have stumbled, somewhat inadvertently across golf's answer to 20/20 cricket.  One hole, high fives and a glass of red.  Splendid!
