Updated Visitor Screening Policy Effective March 20

As part of our ongoing effort to ensure safety for patients, staff and our community during the COVID-19 outbreak, visitors at all LVHN hospital locations will be screened effective Friday, March 20.

At main entrances and emergency department entrances, visitors will have their temperature taken with a forehead thermometer by LVHN staff. Any visitor with a temperature higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be directed to postpone their visit. Any visitor with a temperature lower than 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be asked a series of questions to ensure they are not at risk of spreading COVID-19.

If visitors are determined to be at risk, we will direct them to further virtual screening options, including:

  • Completing an Evisit (a detailed questionnaire visit submitted to an LVHN provider) by visiting MyLVHN.org or the MyLVHN app
  • Calling the MyLVHN Nurse Information line at 1-888-402-LVHN
  • Completing an LVHN Video Visit by downloading the MyLVHN app

The on-site screenings follow the “No Visitation, No Access Policy” we put in place March 15, which is still in effect to help protect the health of our patients and health care providers.
